I am an interdisciplinary artist making mostly sculptural objects that recombine found, and handcrafted elements. These objects incorporate aspects of scientific instrument, weapon, tool and toy to encourage new ways of connecting to facets of the inner and outer world. I was heavily influenced by growing up with a large midwestern backyard, curious parents, and ancestral roots in farming, mechanics, butchering, barbering, medicine, and education.
I received undergraduate degrees in Fine Art and Psychology from UW- Madison and an MFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. I have participated in workshops and residencies including Haystack Mountain School of Crafts (Maine), and Rosenclaire's invitational workshops (Italy and South Africa). I live and work in Oceanside, California.
